Technical information for presenting authors

  • The final programme of the 2012-2013 local conference of SRS has been made available online.
  • The maximal length of a talk is 10 minutes, followed by a 5-minute discussion; please strictly observe the limits. The end of the 10-minute timeframe is signalled by the student member of the jury (s/he stand up). At that time the presenting author has 30 more seconds to finish his talk without losing any points. After a total time of 15 minutes is elapsed, the chairperson of the session ends the disscussion or the talk if it is still in progress.
  • Suggested file format: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 slideshow (ppsx). Other accepted formats: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation (pptx), Microsoft Office PowerPoint XP/2003 presentation (pps or ppt). OpenOffice formats are not accepted.
  • You must upload all files belonging to your presentation to our website by Monday, February 18, 2013. You can access the page (http://tdk.med.unideb.hu/en/sajat-tdk-jelentkezesek) from after logging in. You will not be able to upload your presentation directly to the computer before the sessions.
  • Resolution of the projector: min. 1024x768 pixel (in case of technical problems smaller resolutions may be provided).
  • Each presenting author will be given the opportunity to use a cordless presenter. In order to protect the computers you will not be able to bring your own such device. The member of the organizing committee present during the session can also help the presenting author during the talk upon request.
  • Due to difficulties in presentation we do not recommend you to include movies in your presentation. If you still wish to do so, please save your video in WMV (Windows Media Video) format in the same folder as your PowerPoint file and then embed it in the presentation. Please upload both the PowerPoint presentation and the video file to our website. No file names should be longer then 15 characters and they may only contain lower case letters of the English alphabet, numbers and hyphens. Whitespace and special characters are not allowed in file names. Formats other than WMV might work as long as other instructions are obeyed.
  • All authors will have the opportunity test their presentation before the conference (19 February 2013, Tuesday, 16:00-17:50, Department of Cardiology, Division of Clinical Physiology, room 007). We do not take any responsibility for the correct presentaion of videos if you do not test your presentation on Tuesday. You will not have the opportunity to test your presentation before your session.
  • You must include an Appendix slide as the last slide of your presentation detailing the participation of each author in the presented work. Without this slide the presentation will not be scored and will not accepted as a presentation of your thesis.

Abstract submission open

Abstract submission is open for the February 2013 UD MHSC Conference of SRS. Plese read the instructions for abstract submission before starting the submission process. Dealdine for abstract submission: January 23, 2013. You have to edit your previously sumbitted application to sumbit an abstract.

Registration deadline extended

Due to the high number of registrations made on the final day before the deadline, we have decided to extend the deadline for the registration until 10:00 hour, 9 FebruaryJanuary 2013 (Wednesday). Registration and abstract submission for the 2012-2013 conference of students' research society

From 23 December 2012 the electronic registration for the medical and health science section of the 2012-2013 conference of students' research society is open. Registration deadline is 23:59 hour, 7 January 2013 (Monday). Abstract submission will be open between 8 January 2013 and 23 January 2013. All presentations will have to be uploaded through the website not later than 23:59 hour, 18 February 2013. You will not be able to upload your presentation directly to the computers in the lecture rooms.

UD MHSC Conference of Students' Research Society - 2013-2014

According to the decision of the Council of Students' Research Society in the 2013-2014 acedemic year the medical and health science section of the local Conference of Students' Research Society will be held between 19 February 2013 (Wednesday) and 21 February 2014 (Friday).

Final deadline for abstract submission is 20:00 hour, 27 January 2014. Abstracts can be submitted only through the online abstract submission system (htto://tdk.med.unideb.hu/). In order to facilitate the organization of the conference the titles and the list of preferred sessions for all abstracts will have to be submitted by 20:00 hour, 13 January 2014  through the same registration system. We advise all department representatives for SRS matters to submit the list of abstracts (containing the title, author(s) and tutor(s) for each abstract) to the secratary of the CSRS in e-mail. We can only accept those abstracts which will have been submitted electronically and will have also been confirmed by the department representative.

Conference prizes and talks accepted as thesis defence

The list of winners of the February 2012 conference of SRS is available on the website.

We kindly ask all those students, who received special prize ("különdíj") to obtain their certificate from Mr. László Lévai at the Educational Office after 12:30 p.m. on 21 February 2012. Monetary and non monetary awards will be delivered to each awardee in the near future.

Most talks were accepted as thesis defence by the jury. For detailed instructions on converting your work in the SRS into your thesis please refer to our Hungarian webpage.

Online programme and abstract book

The detailed online programme and abstract book of the conference of SRS is availble (only in Hungarian). Printed copies of the abstract book for all authors and tutors will be distributed on Monday and Tuesday. You can pick up your copy at the secretariat of your department.

Please find below the summary of the scientific programme of the February 2012 conference of SRS. You can find the venues, times and presenting authors of all the scientific sessions.

The previously distributed programmed had to be changed at several points. All presentations previously scheduled to the Theoretical Buidling will be held in the lecture room of the Department of Dermatology. Please observe all changes and attend the sessions according to the new programme. NB: the first activity each day commences at 8:15 a.m.

You can download the detailed programme as a PDF document. Authors in bold are the student chairmen for each block who chair the session alognside a professor (indicated at the top of each session). The starting times for each block will likely be met, but the exact timing for other talks may vary significantly.

End of registration and opening of abstract submission for the 2011-2012 conference

The preliminary registration for the for the medical and health science section of the 2011-2012 conference of students' research society was closed on 6 January 2011. 261 abstract titles were submitted during the early registration period. At the same time as preliminary registration was closed abstract submission became available for those who have registered already. You can reach it till 23:59 hour, 23 January 2012 (Monday). Only abstracts conforming the detailed submission guideline and confirmed in time by the SRS representative of the respective department will be accepted.
